Ryanair Increase Airport Baggage & Boarding Card Fees

Ryanair is forever coming under fire for some rediculous charges and they constantly boast having the lowest fares.

During the low season, from October to May, the cost of the first bag will go up from £35 to £60 and in the summer it will rise from £40 to £100.

The fee for a second bag will go up during the off season from £70 to £105 and from £80 to £135 during the summer and Christmas 2012.

A spokesman for Ryanair said the changes were designed to encourage passengers to bring as few bags as possible apart from the free 10 kg allowance for carry-on luggage.

The no-frills airline is also pushing up its fee for printing a boarding card at the airport from £40 to £60.

This charge has also been heavily criticised. But a Ryanair spokesman said it was now paid by fewer than 10 passengers a day.
