Bus Attacked By Brick Throwing Yob
Passengers are lucky they are alive after a yob thrown a brick at a Scarborough & District bus this week.
“It’s appalling,” Mr Shipp chief executive at East Yorkshire Motor Services who run the Scarborough & District network said. “The window that smashed was right behind the driver’s cab. It could have had hit the driver and disabled him. It has the potential to kill someone. Hopefully it was just a one-off.”
Luckilly nobody was hurt in the incident and the bus carried on it's journey with a small delay before being replaced at the depot with another bus.
The bus was attacked at about 2245 and police are now viewing the CCTV from the bus of both inside & outside the vehicle anyone with information should contact the new non-emergancy police line on 101 (free on ANY phone) press option 2 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
