Royal Visit To Teesside Causes Bus Diversions On Monday

HRH Prince Charles will be visiting the Teesside area on Monday 24th October. As part of this visit, he will be opening a new enterprise start up shop in The Mall, shopping centre which will see diversions in Middlesbrough Town Centre.

There will be a temporary closure of Grange Road and Linthorpe Road (between Grange Road and Bedford Street) from 0930, with both roads due to reopen by 1100 at the latest. Local diversion routes will be signed, and pedestrian access will be maintained at all times during the closure period.

ALL Linthorpe Road services (outbound) will leave Middlesbrough Bus Station via Brentnall Street & Borough Road, then via Linthorpe Road as normal – these services will omit the stops at the Town Hall and in Grange Road. Inbound Linthorpe Road services will turn left from Linthorpe Road into Borough Road, then Brentnall Street into the Bus Station.

We advise passengers who use the affected bus stops to board & alight buses at Middlesbrough Bus Station during these times.
