Stockton Christmas Lights Switch On

Once again its that time of year when towns & cities switch on theit festive lights in the run up to Christmas.

Stockton High Street lights will be switched on during Sunday 24th November 2011 and in order to maintain health & safety, the middle section of road which joins the North & South end of the high street will be closed (as in previous years).

The stopping arrangements are below and will be in place from around 1530 and 1930 during the road closures...

Stand 1 - No change (setting down only)

Stand 2 - No change (service X66)

Stand 3 - Services 507 (from stand 9) and 7/7A/577 (from stands 7 & 11) will use this stand

Stand 4 - Service 17 will only use stand 14 at the north end of the High Street.

Stand 5 - Service 15 will only use stand 13 at the north end of the High Street

Stand 6 - All services will only use stand 21 at the north end of the High Street.

Stand 7 - Services 7, 7A, 577 will use stand 3

Stand 8 - Services 87/87A/87B, X6 will use stand 14 at the north end of the High Street. Services 13/13A/61/506/88/589 will use stand 16

Stand 9 - Service 507 will use stand 3

Stand 10 - All services will only use stand 21

Stand 11 - Service 551 to use stand 17 service 7, 7A, 577 to use stand 3

Stand 12 - Services 87/87A/87B, X6 will use stand 14 Services 13/13A/61/506/588/589 will use stand 16

Stand 14 - Service 17 will use this stand, as normal Services 87/87A/87B, X6 will also use this stand.

Stands 16 to 18 - These stands will be in use as normal by making U-turns at the northern bus loop.

Stand 25 - Services will use their normal stands at the north end of the High Street ie: Services 35/36/37/38, 87/87A/87B – stand 23 Services 52 – stand 24

Stand 26 - Services will use their normal stands at the north end of the High Street ie: Service 15 – stand 19 Service 21A – stand 18

Stand 27 - Services will use their normal stands at the north end of the High Street ie: Services 13/13A – stand 21 Services 17A, X6 – stand 17 Service 59 – stand 16 Service 58 – stand 20

Stand 28 - National Express service 380 at 1555 towards Leeds & Manchester will use this stop as normal, but will be unable to approach via the full length of Stockton High Street. It will be diverted via Prince Regent Street and Yarm Lane.

Stand 29 - Most local services will not use this stop, instead using only their normal stops at the north end of the High Street. National Express services at 1610 (380) and 1905 (326) towards Newcastle will use this stop, as normal, but will depart via Yarm Lane and Prince Regent Street.
