Major Changes In Redcar From 2nd October

Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council have announced they are withdrawing funding for some bus services in the area from Sunday 2nd October 2011 and therefore from this date many services will change as follows (new timetables available shortly)...

Service 5/5A/X5 (Arriva): The journeys at 0441 & 0525 Monday to Saturday departures from Easington will be replaced with one service departing at 0457 whilst the 0629 Sunday departure from Easington will be withdrawn.

Service 22/22A (Arriva): Monday to Sunday evening journeys retimed by 10 minutes throughout and Sunday daytime service withdrawn and replaced with Service 22A which will run hourly between Middlesbrough & Easington via Dormanstown, Redcar, Marske, Saltburn, Brotton & Loftus.

Service 28 (Arriva): The 0626 departure from Guisborough Market Place withdrawn and replaced with a departure from Nunthorpe (Swans Corner) at 0649. The 1807 departure from Middlesbrough Bus Station will terminate at Nunthorpe (Swans Corner) and the 1915 departure from Lingdale to Guisborough is withdrawn.

Service 48/48A (Arriva): Additional Monday to Saturday early evening journey introduced between Lingdale and Redcar to replace the 1850 Boroughbus Service 748 which is withdrawn. New hourly Sunday service 48A will partially cover the withdrawn routes 748/749 running between Redcar & Lingdale via Marske, New Marske Saltburn, Brotton & Skelton.

Service 64B (Arriva): A New hourly Monday to Saturday evening and Sunday daytime service introduced running between Middlesbrough & Grangetown via South Bank, Normanby, Bankfields & EstonWill partially replace the Boroughbus services 748, 794, 795 which are withdrawn.

Service 81 (Arriva): Additional Monday to Saturday early evening journey provided between Redcar & Guisborough (and return) to partially replace Boroughbus Service 781 which is withdrawn.

Service 93 (Arriva): 1530 departure from Middlesbrough will run via Moorsholm meaning journeys will run 4 minutes later from Scaling Dam. The diversion is funded by Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council.

Service 707/708 (Redcar Council): New service partially replacing Boroughbus services 741, 748, 781 & 789 on a Monday to Saturday evening which are withdrawn. 707 operates hourly clockwise round a circular route whilst 708 operates hourly anti-clockwise round a circular route. Services run between Redcar, Marske, Saltburn, Brotton, Loftus, Liverton Mines, Skelton, Lingdale, Guisborough & Redcar.

Service 741 (Compass Royston): Service withdrawn, see 707/708 for partial replacement.

Service 746/747 (Arriva): Will now operate between North Skelton and Saltburn via Brotton Coach Road Estate. The 0542 Monday to Saturday departure from Middlesbrough is withdrawn and the 0630 Monday to Saturday departure from Saltburn withdrawn. The 0637 Saturday departure from Lingdale will now terminate at Redcar Clock.

Service 748 (Arriva): Service withdrawn, see 22A, 48A, 64B & 707/708 for partial replacement.

Service 750 (Leven Valley): Service withdrawn

Service 751 (Compass Royston): Service withdrawn

Service 752 (Compass Royston/Redcar Council): Service now ran by Redcar Council operating Monday, Wednesday & Friday off peak times only

Service 758/759 (Redcar Council): Will only operate off peak on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays

Service 772/773/778 (Tees Valley Coaches): Guisborough Town Services will run with a revised timetable, which includes a lunchtime gap in service. Service 773 will run via New Road at Rectory Lane.

Service 781 (Arriva): Service withdrawn.

Service 789 (Arriva): Service withdrawn. Parts of the Monday to Saturday evening service provided by the new 707/708 Boroughbus service. Most of the route is covered on a Sunday daytime by Arriva services 22A & 48A

Service 794/795 (Arriva): Services withdrawn. Routes partially covered on a Sunday daytime by Arriva Service 64B
