Increase In Metro Fares From Tomorrow

Nexus, who operate the Tyne & Wear Metro are increasing some fares from Monday 2nd January 2012 whilst some will stay the same and some will go down.

Single fares will increase by about 10p whilst Day Savers will also increase.

Passengers who buy 4-weekly Metrosaver tickets will also increase however if you buy online the fares have slightly decreased saving you money if you buy online.

If you buy a yearly Metrosaver ticket the price has increased by £25 but the price remains at £450 if you buy online, saving you an extra £50.
