Go North East Changes In Team Valley On 29th January
Go North East have announced changes to routes 90, 91, 92 & 939 in the Team Valley area.
Service 90: New service running between Team Valley & Metrocentre at peak times Monday to Friday every 30 minutes. In Team Valley all buses operate via Kingsway in both directions starting and finishing at the South Bus Station near Retail World.
Service 91/91A: This service has been extended across Newcastle City Centre to Pilgrim Street with journeys timed to meet “on the hour” and “on the half hour” work start and finish times as requested by customers. Most journeys will now be operated by red double deck buses to offer more seats at busy times instead of the silver single deck Team Valley Clipper buses. In Team Valley all journeys will run via Kingsway in both directions starting and finishing at the South End Bus Station near Retail World. In Newcastle City Centre buses to Team Valley leave Pilgrim Street and stop at Market Street, Grainger Street and Central Station and from Team Valley buses stop at Bewick Street, Grainger Street, Market Street, John Dobson Street and finish at Pilgrim Street. As part of these changes the early morning 0504 journey from West Chirton will operate 8 minutes earlier and the 0605 Saturday journey from Team Valley is withdrawn.
Service 92: This service will now run every 30 minutes at peak times Monday to Friday and is extended to Ellen Wilkinson Estate in Wardley running anti clockwise around the estate in the morning and clock wise in the afternoon.
Service 930: Service will now run as service 90 as above, buses will no longer serve Blackhall Mill, Chopwell and High Spen. Customers from these areas should use Toon Link service 47 and The Pulse 69A changing at Metrocentre onto the new service 90.
Service 939: This service will operate every 30 minutes at peak times Monday to Friday between Washington Concord, Galleries and Team Valley giving connections to other services including our frequent Metrolink M1 and Red Arrows X1 to Easington Lane, Hetton and Houghton and surrounding areas. The service operates to/from Sunderland Park Lane and Southwick and runs direct along the A1231 Washington Highway calling at Waterview Park.
